This is a natural Ethiopian Welo Opal set in silver. The exciting arrival of gem quality solid opal from the Welo district of Ethiopia was discovered in 2008 and is is taking the gem world by storm. These opals are cut with a large dome to leave much of the gemstone intact, and allows for more color or fire to emanated from light refraction.
